Notice of exemption from membership fees for victims of the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake

The following is a notice regarding the exemption of membership fees for the victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024.

Based on the self-reports of those members who reside, work, or study in the affected areas to which the Disaster Relief Law has been applied, the membership fee for the fiscal year 2024 will be waived. If they have already paid the membership fee for FY2024, the fee will be transferred to FY2025.

Note:
The target areas are 35 cities, 11 towns, and 1 village in 4 prefectures (Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui prefectures) (based on the “Second Report of the Application of the Disaster Relief Law in Relation to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024 [2nd Report]” published on January 1, 2024, the date the law was applied).

If you are a victim of the disaster and wish to be exempted from paying membership fees, please contact the head office. Even if you are not sure whether you are eligible to apply or not, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Reinstatement application for FY2024 [D/L: 17th Sep.]

To JASID members on leave of absence who wish to resume our activities

The JASID members who are currently on a leave of absence and wish to resume our activities from the fiscal year 2024, which will begin in October 2023, are requested to notify us within the application period.

Tuesday, August 15, 2023 – Sunday, September 17, 2023

Flow after Application

Receipt of applications for recess in FY 2024 [D/L: 17th Sep.]

JASID has introduced a leave of absence system starting in FY 2023.

This system allows full members and student members to take a leave of absence for up to four consecutive years.

During the period of suspension, member services will be suspended, the sending of the journal and ML will cease, and applications and presentations at the conference will not be possible.

In addition, the right to be elected and to vote in the election of candidates for the Board of Directors will also be suspended.
