このたび、インド、ジャワハルラール・ネルー大学大学院社会科学研究科社会システム研究センター主催の公開ウェブ会議「新自由主義時代の社会と市民社会――適応的・代替的アプローチ」を下記の要領で開催いたします。どなたでもご参加いただけます。

●開催趣旨
今世紀に入り、ボランティア組織や社会諸集団、各種コミュニティ、家族といった領域における社会的イニシアティブが圧倒的な存在感を示してきた。かつてインドで台頭した社会運動の寿命が短くなるなかで、市民社会組織は、新自由主義的な経済秩序と国家の要求を明確化し、裁定し、適応する術を身につけてきた。したがって、大衆の利益を守るために、生産・分配・消費の代替的な道筋を提案する市民社会がはたす多様な役割を批判的かつ学術的に検証することは急務である。
本ウェブ・コンファレンスでは、インドを代表する市民社会組織の活動家や日印の研究者によるパネルディスカッション、および日印の大学院生による論文発表を予定している。

The project and the web conference are a collaboration between Professor V. Sujatha (JNU) and Yutaka Sato (Tsuru University), funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) as part of the bilateral research project titled ‘Labouring Body, Food and Nutrition: A Sociological Study of Gendered Deprivation in India and Japan’, which is jointly funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for FY 2025–26.
