One of the major events for this study group was the realization of round table session at the annual conference that took place in November 2023. We had five presentations in English, focused on case studies on African political economy.
This study group aims to develop the research on SDGs toward 2030, as the successor of precedent SDGs research groups of JASID: on ‘Sustainable Development and SDGs’ and ‘Resilience of Development and SDGs’.
Based on these perspectives, the research group plans to 1) conduct case studies of the regions, such as Africa, Asia and Pacific, and Latin America, 2) organize academic sessions and publish articles and books in English.
Preparation for the publication were developed through formal and informal study meetings and seminars, which took place in Ritsumeikan University (November 2023, February 2024) and Waseda University (May 2024).
